MANAGING DIRECTOR
Marcus has become one of the leading professionals in the area of direct property investment & lending in New Zealand and Australia.
He is the Co-Founder, and Executive Director of both Zagga New Zealand and Zagga Australia – a marketplace lender on both sides of the Tasman that provides investors (retail and wholesale) with direct investment opportunity into loans backed by property. Zagga has originated ~$1 Billion in loans since inception and has a current live book of ~$500m across both businesses (note that Zagga Australia and Zagga NZ have different shareholding and operate separately, albeit with some shared back office functions). Marcus designed the business on both sides of the Tasman, including full process and technology design, licence applications with both the FMA and ASIC, as well as being a leading force in bringing the businesses to market and growing them to their current size. He has also retained roles on the Compliance Committee and is Chair of the Credit Committee for the Australian business. In addition to this, he is a highly experienced management consultant and business leader who has worked globally for some of the world’s most notable and successful organisations in the area of general management, organisational strategy, sales & marketing and people. He has an enviable track record of driving commercial success across a range of industries – including global banking and finance – and is regarded as a leading commercial strategist. Additionally, he has set up and operated a range of successful businesses in the technology, service, importing, and consulting arenas. He holds B.Sc. (1st Class Hons) and B.A. degrees from Victoria University of Wellington.

Peter is a financial services industry leader with many years of senior executive experience heading up a number of leading financial institutions…

In his most recent corporate role, Peter was CEO of Westpac New Zealand Limited. He previously held Group Executive roles at Commonwealth and St.George Banks, with responsibility for Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, Product, Operations, Technology, Property and Procurement.
Since leaving his major corporate roles, Peter has become highly active in the leadership of Australia’s fintech scene currently serving as Chairman of Zagga Group Australia and Director at Digi.cash. Additionally, he holds current directorships with Heritage Bank, Dubber, Lynch Group, RoZetta Ventures, among others.
His background also includes Insolvency Accounting and Management Consulting. Peter is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Governance Institute of Australia, and a fellow of CPA Australia and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). His qualifications include a BCom and MBA.

Jarred has been a highly successful finance broker with a career in Retail and Corporate Banking with the main Trading Banks, as well as a Mortgage Broker and Lender.
He has been recognised as one of the best brokers in Australia and promoted to relationship manage high valued investors. Not only has Jarred recently been awarded the accolade as Best Regional Broker, Top 100 Broker by the MFAA, he has also achieved a top ten position as one of the most accomplished brokers in Australia. He has also built a reputation for successful delivery in the New Zealand market, with the ability to source and have deals funded in both countries.
Jarred has an extremely wide range of funding options and contacts, with an exceptional reputation amongst first party lenders, commercial lenders and private funders. Jarred specialises in the high volume residential and commercial clients, finding the best structure to maximise return while mitigating risk.

Colin Hamilton has 50 years experience in Banking and Finance, comprising 20 years with BNSW/Westpac, 5 years as CEO of Trustbank Southland…
…and more recently as Credit Manager of Finance sector businesses. In Westpac he held roles including:
— Lending Manager for New Zealand with a personal $4m lending discretion, approving larger credit applications from the commercial and rural sectors and also relieved as Head of Credit for New Zealand.
— CEO Trustbank Southland – a regionally based Bank in South Island – he oversaw growth of that Bank’s retail, commercial and rural business to achieve $1.3 bn assets and highest main bank share in all sectors in its region prior to the Trustbank Group being sold to Westpac.
— Since leaving banking he has been involved in residential, rural and commercial property lending and plant and equipment lending, as well as credit management for a portfolio recovery for a large finance company post GFC.

Sarah is a qualified CFA who is highly experienced at building and overseeing high functioning Treasury departments here in New Zealand, as well as in the UK.
Since commencing her career at ANZ, she has undertaken a range of roles which have centred on organisational performance through better and more clear governance. She managed NZ Post’s liquidity position, as well as all of their financial risks. Additionally, she has successfully set up Treasury functions for complex multinational businesses, with full ownership of the design and successful implementation of all policies and procedures. She has been integrally involved in all functions related to treasury, tax, audit, M&A and portfolio management, foreign exchange and hedging, as well as all processes to liquidity and banking.
While in the UK she worked for such organisations as the PGA European Tour, Chime Communication Ltd, Falcon Group and Liberty Global. All highly complex, globally distributed organisations. She held roles focused on Corporate finance, Treasury and Reporting/ Compliance. Since returning to NZ she has held the position of Group CFO across a Group of over 10 operating companies. In addition to creating more rigour and oversight she has consistently ensured improved governance and the enablement of improved commercial outcomes.
Outside of work, Sarah has been a Non Executive Director for British Volleyball, and has been an international volleyball referee with a highlight refereeing the men’s Gold Medal Match at the previous Commonwealth Games.

Mike has built an impressive career in Banking in New Zealand, and among other things currently holds the role of Independent Director at SBS Bank, as well as Director and Chairman…
… of the bank’s private wealth entity FANZ. From 1980 to 1995 he worked for Rural Bank and then National Bank, before joining BNZ in 1995 to lead their Rural Business and was then appointed General Manager Agribusiness. He was as a member of BNZ’s Executive Team and led BNZ Partners (BNZ business banking) for eight years.
Following his time at the BNZ, he was Group General Manager for one of the largest rural retail businesses, responsible for 98 stores and 1300 staff. Mike currently sits on a number of Boards across a range of sectors providing strategic value and governance expertise, leadership skills and business experience. A key focus has been centred on innovation and education, starting with the formation of the Icehouse in 2000, developing an Agribusiness specific programme for Agribusiness Owners at BNZ, as well as helping Agribusiness start-ups. Another key innovation was the introduction of the PGG Wrightson Online Stock Trading platform – Agonline in 2009.
His qualifications include a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Science majoring in Farm Management and Valuation and Post Graduate Diploma in Banking. He is a Chartered Director with the NZ Institute of Directors and Senior Fellow with FINSIA (Financial Services institute of Australasia).
